 Anthel Dog Wormer
Adult dogs should be treated at least once a year, or at least twice a year if the dog is in contact with children. Please note that some parasites can be passed onto humans, especially young children so if your dog shows signs of infection , he should be wormed immediately. SymptomsThe most common symptoms in puppies is a swollen pot-bellied stomach. Persistent vomiting, loose bowels, runny eyes and nose are other signs as are the skidding along on their bottom or trying to bite their tail. Sometimes segments of tapeworms may be seen around the dogs bedding or clinging to his coat. These will look somewhat like brown pieces of dried rice. Roundworms are the most common worm type. Some of this worm family live in the small intestine, others in the large intestine and blood vessels and respiratory tract. Roundworms feed on digested food in the dogs gut, and are particularly harmful to puppies. These worms penetrate a puppies gut wall and pass via the blood to the liver and then the lungs. Infected puppies may develop hepatitis, pneumonia, fits and obstruction to the gut. Regular treatment is therefore critical. Treatment of pregnant bitches is particularly important, as it is possible for new born puppies to have their own fully grown worm burden. Tapeworms are less common, but can can grow into parasites of prodigious length. Part of the life cycle of tapeworms is the common flea. It is important to break the cycle of this worm by maintaining a good flea irradication routine with your dog. ANTHEL Dog Wormer is a palatable paste formulation for the treatment against both types of worms. Being an alternative presentation to a pill or tablet, there is no risk of poor absorption, as the vegetable based material is ready absorbed in the dog’s stomach, easily excreting dead worms in normal faecal movement.
